How did your airplanes and spinners fly? What about
the parachute? I really enjoyed learning about how oxygen is
important for fires to exist. In kit 17 you will learn more about
how oxygen is important for us to survive. Airplanes are one of my
favorite things and that is why I found you some cool sites about
airplanes. Enjoy!
Click on me to go back inside the clubhouse. Correction to experiment
5. The conclusion given is incorrect. The acceleration of an
object does not change when the weight is changed. For example if an
empty soda bottle and a full soda bottle are dropped from the same height,
the bottles will reach the ground at the same time. The reason that we
see heavier objects often hit the ground first is because of less air
resistance than with a lighter object. When the toy was added to the
parachute, the shape of the dropping parachute with the toy was changed in
such a way that the air resistance was decreased and the toy fell faster.
