It depends mostly on your time constraints. Families that prefer the
twice monthly subscription program like the fact that the kits come more
frequently and their children have more exposure to the science, math,
reading and writing that the science kits provide. However, the families
that prefer the once-a-month program do so because they don't have the
flexibility and time to do the science kits more often. The once-a-month
option allows these families to enjoy the science projects without feeling
pressured or rushed to complete them. In short, both programs deliver
the same science kits, the only difference being the frequency.
Yes! You can and should encourage your child to label or copy letters and words from
the experiments. When "Celsius" the Science Bug asks your child to write down some
results, he/she can dictate her thoughts to you and you can write them down. Even
very young children feel proud that they are "scientists."
Other science kits are a one-time experience and do not encourage reading, writing, and
math skills. They are not set up as a continuous curriculum and, thus, long-term learning
and knowledge retention is minimal. Our science kits also have very clear instructions for
the parents and fun instructions for the children given by Celsius the Science Bug
.
No! Although, there will only be enough materials for one child
in each kit, all your children can participate in the experiments.
If for any reason you need to cancel or put your membership temporarily
on hold, simply e-mail or call us. Our kits get mailed out to you on either
the 1st and/or 15th of each month, and in order for your request to be
processed we need at least one week notice before the next shipment
date. In order to keep our prices as low as possible, we regret that we are
unable to offer refunds on kits that have already been shipped.
